HIP 87621 Exobiology Initiative

This Community Goal has concluded, participation is no longer possible. This information is provided for historical purposes only.
This Community Goal requires the Odyssey expansion.
Objective: Sell exobiology data Location: Exogene Sciences, HIP 87621 Started: Thu, 13 Nov 2025 16:02:06 +0000 Ended: Thu, 27 Nov 2025 16:00:00 +0000 Updated: Thu, 27 Nov 2025 16:01:02 +0000 Progress: 4,157,738 / 10,000,000 (41.58%)

The Pilots' Federation has confirmed that members are now authorised to enter the HIP 87621 system, where reports indicate the presence of exobiological flora unlike any previously catalogued.

October Consortium has issued a call for exobiological data to help with further scientific analysis.

Pilots can support this initiative by first signing up at Exogene Sciences in the HIP 87621 system, before gathering samples of the newly discovered flora at biological sites located on several bodies of the HIP 87621 system. These samples must then be sold to Vista Genomics at Exogene Sciences, via the representative located in the station concourse.

Given the unique nature of this flora and the urgent need for data, Vista Genomics has lifted the usual limitation of one sample per planet. Pilots may therefore gather numerous samples from a single site.

An Artemis Suit will be required to gather samples using the Genetic Sampler.

Samples sold as part of this initiative will have a 8x price multiplier.

Pilots are advised to exercise caution, as all planets inhabited by this unusual species experience extreme daytime surface temperatures.

Pilots who register at least 1 sample will receive the following rewards:

- Artemis Photon Blue Suit Pack
- Credits, depending on success tier achieved and individual contribution level.

Pilots in the top 75% and above of contributions will receive a grade 5 Artemis suit, with Improved Battery Capacity, Night Vision, Increased Sprint Duration and Improved Jump Assist modifications.

The campaign begins on the 13th of November 3311 and will run for two weeks.
