To coincide with the launch of the new Type-11 Prospector, Lakon announced sponsored mining trials with Alioth Independents to validate the Prospector's capabilities in the field.
A Lakon senior design engineer commented:
"From the very first prototype, the Type-11 Prospector was designed to deliver results. The new mining tool debuting with the Type-11, with its enhanced targeting system, offers pin-point precision when excising fragment yields via laser mining."
Pilots can support this initiative by first signing up at Malzberg Vision in the Andere system, before mining Platinum, Painite or Osmium, then selling it at Malzberg Vision's commodity market. Any ship may be used as part of this initiative.
Mined goods sold as part of this initiative will have a 6x price multiplier.
For EACH TIER achieved as part of this initiative, the Increased Mining Fragment Yield squadron perk will permanently increase by a further 1%, to a maximum of 20%.
Pilots who register at least 1 contribution will also receive the following rewards:
- Type-11 Prospector Umbra Cyan Paintjob
- Lakon Spaceways Decal
- Credits, depending on success tier achieved and individual contribution level.
The campaign begins on the 29th of September 3311 and will run for two weeks.
